 Pyranha Speeder
This was my first time paddling a boat of this length and character, that being said I do not necessarily have the background to give a 'core' racer the in depth review they might be looking for. This boat is without question the fastest boat I have ever paddled. The Speeder barely displaces any water; it slices through the water leaving only a small ripple. There is not much initial stability, however the boat has great secondary stability. The Speeder's secondary stability really helps with turning; you can throw the boat way on edge to carve a turn, this is incredibly helpful when paddling a boat whose maneuverability is inherently lacking. The boat runs rapids well, being easier to maneuver and get into and out of eddies than I anticipated. Pyranha used the Connect 30 outfitting on this boat; it is super comfortable. The storage hatch on the stern has tons of room. I was able to fit a fishing pole, hammock, two dry boxes, and a cooler in the back. I think the Speeder will be a hot boat for those 'core' racers and yet will be just as good for getting in a work out on your local flatwater river. -Logan
