The Diesel really excells on river running, it is great for video boating on the New and Gauley rivers and also for rivers like the Meadow. I feel that this is a great beginner boat. The Diesel also has excellent secondary stability. I am a fan of the outfitting, it is very comfortable when hiking. For outfitting I have moved the seat all of the way forward. -Justin
