I paddled the Project 62 several times videobaoting and I also took it
to a couple playspots. I thought the boat was a little too short. It
didn't have the speed when sliding down the wave to initiate blunts,
ect. My real test of the boat was at five boat hole on the Gauley. I
thought it was hard to get the boat to get any speed, and I was already
at the bottom of the wave before I felt like I could blunt. The boat
was easy to flat spin, but so is my creek boat. Trying to cartwheel
was difficult as I was either going past verticle or less than 45
degrees. I'm not big on loops and such, but I had easier times looping
other boats. The length also affected the boats' river running
ability. Overall, I thought it was a hard boat to control when
verticle and hard to do the big tricks unless on a huge, fast wave.
I'm not a fan of the Project.
I did not like the outfitting either. My hips hurt after an average
time in the boat. That might have been my fault, but it had the
outfitting that came with the boat and I had not modified it in any way.
