The Mad River Whitewater Park
Five Rivers Metro Parks is proposing the construction of a whitewater park beginning at Eastwood MetroPark and continuing to below the railroad trussels, a distance of a half mile. This modification of the Mad River would include the installation of boulder-clusters, self-scouring pools, and current deflectors; along with stabilization of the banks, safe public access, and natural rock terracing. The project is estimated to cost $500,000-$750,000.
