Recreational Kayaking is a very user friendly type of kayaking. The boats used are generally wide and stable and are designed to track in a straight line. Recreational kayaking is very popular in this region.

What
happens if I come out of my boat in the middle of the lake? During
this fun filled, hands-on class you will discover the answer to that
question and many more. You will practice how to re-enter a kayak
after falling out in the lake, how to get a swamped boat to shore,
how to self rescue, and what you can do to assist others in need.
These are skills that should be practiced before you actually need
them in an on the water situation. For Touring and Recreational
boaters.
Participants
should meet at Whitewater Warehouse at 2:30 p.m.; and the class will
be held in the Eastwood MetroPark from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Dress to get
wet. Minimum of 3 participants required. Space is limited &
reservations are required. Fee: $40, an additional $10 if you need
equipment.
