Whitewater Kayaking is an adventurous discipline that utilizes smaller boats that are designed to be very maneuverable. This style of kayaking requires commitment and equipment. Our Whitewater classes and clinics are for those interested in running whitewater rivers and excepting the challenge (and thrill) associated with this exciting sport!

This
is a three part instructional series for the beginning whitewater
kayaker. The first two sessions will be held on the lake where you
will be introduced to the skill of rolling a kayak, along with
becoming acquainted with the necessary equipment, learning the basic
strokes and concepts, along with a variety of safety topics. The
third session in this series will be held on the moving water of the
Mad River where you will learn to perform a variety of techniques
such as eddy turns, peel outs, and ferry’s which will help you to
deal with moving currents and water features.
Participants
should meet at Whitewater Warehouse at 5:15 p.m.; and the classes
will run from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Dress to be wet. Minimum of 3
participants required. Space is limited & reservations are
required. Fee: $150; or $180 if you need equipment.
