Kayak Basics

Get started with an advantage! This hands-on class will introduce you to the basic skills and information needed to begin kayaking in a safe and enjoyable way. During this two hour session you will become acquainted with the necessary equipment, learn the basic paddle strokes and concepts, along with a variety of safety topics.

This class is gear towards both recreational and touring kayakers. Participants should meet at Whitewater Warehouse at 2:00 p.m.; and the class will be held in the Eastwood Metroparks from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dress to get wet. Minimum of 4 participants required. Space is limited & reservations are required. Fee: $40. Equipment rentals are available for an additional $10 fee. This class is offered by Whitewater Warehouse.
