class is designed as a follow-up to our recent Beginner Whitewater
Clinic. You've learned to paddle your boat, now learn and practice
some basic river safety skills. A
necessary skill for all boaters!
During this class you will learn the basic skills you need to self
rescue and to assist in the rescue of your fellow paddlers. These
skills are necessary for both whitewater and recreational paddlers
alike.
Bring
your boat, throw rope (if you have one), and come prepared to get
wet. The water will still be on the cool side. A wetsuit would be
appropriate attire for this class.
Costs
$40 per person. $25 if you were a participant in the 2008 Beginner
Whitewater Clinic. Pre-registration is required. Wetsuit rentals
are available for $8.00.
