The Mad River Run presented by Whitewater Warehouse is the place to be for exiting moving water competitions, demonstrations and classes all weekend long. Hang out on the banks and watch the shows or get in on the action yourself. See below for the full lineup of activities and click through for more information.

SATURDAY:

11 AM: Whitewater Kickoff

Welcome to the Mad River Run presented by Whitewater Warehouse. This is the place to see whitewater pro boaters throw down sick tricks, get an idea of how various rivercraft would work for you, see SUP professionals surf the wave and more. Are you a recreational boater? Understand the safety precautions of playing in the wave and how to make the river and in particular this feature, a fun place to play for you.

Noon: You be the Rockstar

Now’s your chance to get in the water. Bring your gear and show off the moves you’ve been working on. Need some inspiration, check out the pro demo shows, or get a tip or two from more experienced paddlers in the water.

1 PM: Bust Your Balloon Competition – Whitewater Kayak Division

The ultimate river kayak challenge. This is the perfect way to challenge your river paddling friends or rivals, as teams of three go head to head in this fast paced river obstacle course relay. Tap your paddle on 6 buoys, pick up a ballon from the eddy cache, and race to the end. But the challenge doesn’t stop there. You must “Bust the Balloon”, before your next teammate can start. No team, no problem. Sign up as a beginner (less than 2 years paddling experience) intermediate (2-4 years) or advanced (4+ years) paddler, and we’ll put a team together for you.  You must provide all of your own equipment.

Sign up as a beginner (less than 2 years paddling experience) intermediate (2-4 years) or advanced (4+ years) paddler, and we’ll put a team together for you.  If you do not have your own equipment, a recreational kayak, paddle and safety equipment will  be provided for you.

4 PM: Paddle with the Pros

Bring your gear (kayak, SUP, Paddle, Life jacket, wet suit, etc) and get in the water with our pro paddlers. Pick up tips and tricks to improve your skiills in the water

5 PM: Pumpkins and Skulls Hunt

Sign up for this fall themed River Race. Sweep up a pumpkin or a skull into your boat while running the Mad River. Be the first back to shore to win! Participants will be eligible for a prize, based on the order they finis the race. Bring your own equipment or borrow a recreational boat from Whitewater Warehouse.

6 PM Whitewater Playboat Demonstrations

Watch as the professional whitewater boaters throwdown cartwheels, mcleans, pirouettes and more. Pros will be surfing the wave in kayaks and SUP. Bring your own boat to play in the feature between shows!

7 PM: Whitewater Warehouse Boat Highlights

Learn the difference between various kinds of kayaks and SUP boards and see how each performs in the water. How does rocker, length, beam, hull shape and other features play into the performance of the vessel and pair with the type of river experience you want to have.

8:30 PM: Whitewater Playboat Demonstrations

Watch as the professional whitewater boaters throwdown cartwheels, mcleans, pirouettes and more. Pros will be surfing the wave in kayaks and SUP. Bring your own boat to play in the feature between shows!

SUNDAY:

11 AM Whitewater Playboat Demonstrations

11:30 AM: Paddle with the Pros
